Team news: Bristol Bears Women vs DMP Durham Sharks

Bears Women will be aiming to make it three successive wins to start the 2021/22 season when they take on DMP Sharks at Shaftesbury Park on Saturday (11am KO).

  • Cunningham starts in engine room
  • Marston enters back row
  • Martin makes first appearance of campaign

Dave Ward has opted to make three changes to the side that claimed victory over Gloucester-Hartpury last weekend, with two changes in the pack and one to the backline.

Hollie Cunningham comes into the tight five to partner Abbie Ward in the engine room, whilst last week’s Player of the Match Rownita Marston returns to the base of the scrum.

Kyara Martin will make her first appearance of the season as she starts on the right wing in place of Grace Crompton, who is unavailable due to her GB Sevens selection.

Delaney Burns is set to make her 2021/22 season bow if introduced on Saturday afternoon as she is named as an impact player.

Supporters can still purchase tickets to watch Bears Women take on DMP Sharks at Shaftesbury Park on Saturday and fans are encouraged to take advantage of advanced online prices.
