Team news: Bristol Bears Women vs Gloucester-Hartpury

Kim Oliver has made six changes to the starting fifteen that will take on Gloucester-Hartpury in the West Country derby at Shaftesbury Park on Saturday afternoon (12pm).

  • Clara Nielson returns at hooker
  • Keira Bevan and Elinor Snowsill pair up in the half-backs
  • Ebony Jefferies starts in the back row

After returning from the autumn series, Wales internationals Keira Bevan and Elinor Snowsill have been named at scrum-half and fly-half respectively, whilst Lauren Smyth has been named as an Impact Player.

Simi Pam and Ellie Mulhearn come in to the front row either side of returning co-captain Clara Nielson.

Ebony Jefferies also comes in for Marlo Boyd to start at blindside flanker, which sees Poppy Leitch push up in to the second row.

Sarah Bern misses out on facing her old club after sustaining a laceration to her knee in last weekend's game against Worcester.

Word from the camp:

"For us, games don't come much bigger than the West Country derby and I'm sure Saturday will be a fantastic occasion with the fans providing a brilliant atmosphere at Shaftesbury Park, said Kim Oliver.

"This weekend gives us an opportunity to bounce back from our performance against Worcester and right a few wrongs as we continue to push on in the Tyrrells Premier 15s."
