Team news: Bristol Ladies vs Firwood Waterloo Ladies

Bristol Ladies go in search of their fourth successive league victory when the Tyrells Premier 15s returns on Saturday (5.45pm KO).

Head coach Kim Oliver has overseen a turnaround in fortunes during December, with three wins and nearly 150 points scored.

Bristol include England international duo Lagi Tuima and Amber Reed in their midfield, while Lilly Stoeger-Goddard – who grabbed four tries in the win over Worcester – switches to the wing for the Hayfields clash.

Oliver said: “Waterloo are a strong outfit and caused us a few problems earlier in the campaign, so we are under no illusions about the challenge that we face. Although they currently sit ninth in the league after a tough loss to Harlequins before Christmas, I am sure that they will come here hungry for the win and will bring plenty of physicality.

“We enjoyed an excellent result against Worcester before the festive break and that performance gave the girls plenty of confidence. Now, we are seeking our fourth win in a row and there is an expectation in the group for us to continue to deliver results.

“Myself and the coaching team have been extremely pleased with the last few performances and we hope that the team can maintain their level of performance. Now that we are in the top four, we are determined to stay there and drive the standards to improve each week.”
