Team news: Bristol Rugby U18s vs Bath Rugby U18s

Bristol Academy U18s kick off the U18s league with a mouthwatering derby clash versus Bath Rugby U18s on Wednesday (1.30pm KO).

Academy manager Mike Hall picks an experienced side for the BGS Failand clash, with England U18 international Will Capon captaining the side.

The hooker is one of three players included who has been handed a senior competitive debut by Pat Lam this season, with fellow England international Charlie Powell and George Kloska – who debuted versus Leinster last Friday - also named in the line-up.

Nick English starts in the front row, while Ned Smith, Will Hines, Tomi Adegbite, Ethan Organ, Blake Boyland, Ben Roach and Nathan Chamberlain have all represented Bristol United during the 2017/18 season.

Hall said: “The guys have worked really hard in preparation for a hugely competitive U18s league. There’s no better way to start than against Bath in a West Country derby.

“We’ve picked an experienced outfit and there’s plenty of excitement about what this group can achieve if they play with the right mindset and attitude.”

Come and support the boys on Wednesday afternoon. BGS Sports Ground can be found at: Clevedon Road, Failand, Bristol, BS8 3TL and entry is free for all spectators.
