Team News: Harlequins Women vs Bristol Bears Women

Kim Oliver makes four changes for the Bears’ trip to the Twickenham Stoop to face Harlequins Women on Saturday (3pm).

  • Phillps to make full debut
  • Snowsill to skipper side
  • Johnes comes in at openside

Canadian U20 international, Holly Phillips is in line to make her full Allianz Premier 15s debut against Quins this weekend at loosehead, while Alice Lockwood will line up at hooker at the Stoop.

Kim Oliver opts for a straight swap at openside as Manon Johnes comes for Alisha Butchers, who is named among the impact players.

Rhi Parker also returns to the starting XV at scrum-half to partner skipper, Elinor Snowsill in the half backs.

Assistant Coach Tom Lindsay said: "If we concede a few points early on against Harlequins, I think it could be a tough day. Can we put them under pressure from the start and start chipping away the 3, 6, 9, try here or there and we keep building.

"When we do score, we need to get the ball back, exit well and play where we want to but at the moment, we’re doing something good and then compound it with a couple of errors and then do something good.

"If we just focus on what we know we can do in the right areas, then I feel we’ll definitely challenge Quins in certain areas."
