Team news: Worcester Warriors vs Bristol Bears - PC R2

Mitch Eadie is set for his first competitive outing of the season when Bears travel to Worcester in the Premiership Cup (3pm KO).

  • Lam makes nine changes from victory over Exeter Chiefs
  • 16 current Academy players and graduates
  • Seven Academy players set for debuts from the bench

The back rower is one of nine changes to the side that overcame Exeter Chiefs last weekend, as Pat Lam names a youthful squad for the trip to Sixways, including 16 current Academy players and graduates.

Charlie Powell and Niyi Adeolokun come into the backline, while Bristol name an all Bristolian front row with Ashley Challenger making his first start, Joe Cotton making his competitive debut and George Kloska selected at tighthead.

In the second row, 2020’s U18s player of the year and England U18s forward Charlie Rice is included for his competitive debut, while Macenzzie Duncan starts after a try-scoring debut at Sandy Park. Ed Holmes also comes into the starting line-up.

Fourteen Bristolians in total are named in the 23-man squad, with seven Academy players set for debuts from the bench.
