'There is more to come from us' - Lam

At the halfway stage of the Gallagher Premiership, Bristol Bears top the charts in a number of areas as the club’s unique brand of rugby continues to take shape.

Pat Lam’s men – who have four wins in their opening eleven fixtures – lead the way in the league for defenders (263), clean breaks (137), metres gained (5,227), most carries (1,616) and most passes (2,076).

“We’re growing our game and we know there is more to come from us, but it underlines that there are lots of areas that we need to continue to work hard to improve.”

Pat Lam, head coach

“These figures show that our game is evolving and that we have made progress as a team over the past eighteen months,” said head coach Lam.

“We’re growing our game and we know there is more to come from us, but it underlines that there are lots of areas that we need to continue to work hard to improve.

“We have a long way to go as a team to get to where we need to be, but there are encouraging signs and we need to push on now and keep honing our game.”
