Thomas and Latta ruled out for remainder of season

Dan Thomas (knee) and Joe Latta (shoulder) will miss the remainder of the season, the club’s medical department have confirmed.

The first team duo sustained injuries following the Championship victory over Yorkshire Carnegie that saw Bristol move thirteen points clear at the top of the table.

Bristol’s current unavailable list also includes: Jack Cosgrove (foot), John Hawkins (knee), Chris Vui (ankle), Ehize Ehizode (shoulder), Steven Luatua (knee), Joe Batley (illness), James Dun (knee), Thretton Palamo (foot), Aaron Chapman (achilles) and Mat Protheroe (knee), while Sam Bedlow, Reiss Cullen, Will Hurrell and George Perkins are out on loan.

“Losing Dan [Thomas] and Joe [Latta] is a blow, especially when we consider how well those two had been playing in recent weeks,” said head coach Pat Lam.

“They’re both positive characters and will come back stronger next season. Until then, it’s a case of the next man stepping up and doing a job – we have confidence in the guys in the squad to achieve our goals over this coming crucial period.”
