Thomas says devil is in detail ahead of Sixways clash

Back-to-back defeats at the hands of Exeter Chiefs and Sale Sharks have seen the Bears slide one place to third in the table, and Thomas says getting the finer details right has been high on the agenda this week.

'Focusing on ourselves'

“It’s always a physical game against Worcester, but I’m looking forward to it, it’s a good challenge.

“Obviously the last two results haven’t been the best, so we need to bounce back and that’s what we’ll be aiming to do against Worcester on Friday night, and it’ll be a tough game.

“Our talk this week has been mostly around detail. The work ethic and physicality has always been there but it’s the detail around what we do. From 1-23, we’re a team and it’s a team game and if someone is out of system it shows during the game, so it’s all about detail and focusing on us.

“We had two good wins at the start (of the resumption) and we’ve come off the pedal a little bit since, but boys are fresh and ready to go this week.

“Worcester is a great challenge, but the preparation has been all about us and again, about getting our detail right.”
