Jack Tovey will make the switch to Ealing Trailfinders at the end of the season after ten years with the club.
The Academy graduate – who has made over 190 appearances since 2009 – agrees terms with the Championship side ahead of the 2019/20 campaign. Tovey made his debut in November 2009 as an 18 year-old and, since then, has helped the Bears to two promotions and a B&I Cup title.
Head coach Pat Lam said: “Everybody at the Bears is grateful to Jack for the commitment and effort he has shown to the club on and off the field.
“It’s never an easy decision to leave your hometown club, but Jack will benefit from a fresh challenge and he’ll relish the opportunity for regular gametime.
“We would like to thank Jack for what he has achieved in the Bristol jersey and we wish him, his wife Harriet and his family the very best for the next chapter in West London.”
