Bristol Bears Community Foundation (BBCF) invites inclusive and specialist sports coaches and practitioners to join our expanding team as an Inclusive Community Rugby Coach (ICRC), with the specific mandate of Wheelchair Sport Head Coach.
As an ICRC (wheelchair sport head coach), your role will be primarily focused on delivering a new high-quality wheelchair sport (rugby and basketball) programme to youth players (4-18 years) with a range of additional needs including Special Educational Needs (SEN – MLD, SLD, PMLD, ASD, SEMH) and physical disabilities.
In addition there will be opportunities to work in other inclusive sport settings, including specialist schools and community groups, as well as working with wider inclusive programmes working with over 55’s, adults with learning disabilities and/or complex and challenging behaviour, and individuals effected by loneliness, social isolation, depression and dementia.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to play an active role in developing the enjoyment and experience of both rugby and wheelchair sport across the city. This will involve building strong relationships with partner organisations, and helping to develop further BBCF’s capacity to provide accessible sessions for a wider community needs base.
