VACANCY: Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy Graduate Internship

Bristol Rugby are pleased to offer a year-long physiotherapy graduate internship from July 2016.

We are looking to recruit a graduate Physiotherapist or equivalent to work as part of a multidisciplinary medical, conditioning and coaching team in an elite sporting environment. The successful candidate will have the following necessary skills:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Physiotherapy from a CSP accredited programme (compulsory) or equivalent.
  • Full professional membership to the HCPC (compulsory) or relevant sports therapy body.
  • A comprehensive portfolio of relevant work experience in both the clinical and team sporting environment (desirable)

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced medical team, alongside the Head of Medical and Physiotherapy Services, Second Physiotherapist, Sports Masseur, Team Physicians and an array of Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons.

You will contribute to the successful treatment and rehabilitation of professional and academy players as well as the development and implementation of comprehensive screening and injury prevention strategies.

This is a full-time salaried (To be discussed at interview) position.

You will gain experience working in a professional environment with a comprehensive in-service training and mentoring scheme to develop you as a professional as well as the opportunity to attend external CPD courses funded by the club. In addition meals will be provided on a daily basis.
