Vacancy: Social Media Content Executive

Bristol Bears has an exciting opportunity for a talented Social Media Content Executive to join our media team at the Bears High Performance Centre and play a key role in the club’s journey to Inspire Our Community Through Rugby Success.

We’ve built a reputation for being leaders in our field, producing innovative and engaging content across our social media platforms, using our unique style and tone to tell great stories and entertain our supporters. Do you have the talent, focus and drive to take our social media channels to the next level?

This role will be helping to lead the way across our social media platforms, with a particular focus on vertical video for TikTok and Instagram. The successful applicant will have an eye for trends and the ability to produce high-quality content to tie in with them.

Working across our Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams, as well as our award-winning Community Foundation, you’ll also have the ability to develop and implement social media strategy to drive higher levels of brand engagement and use date and analytics to benchmark against competitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing engaging content across our social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Filming training, interviews and entertaining short-form features, creatively framing and capturing action
  • Live coverage of matchdays and events and active social media management
  • Social reporting and fan engagement initiatives
  • Editing and creating social media content on Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects creating multiple VT edits, optimised for each platform
  • Supporting graphic creation and music to bring video content to life
  • To support communications for the Bristol Sport group of companies where required

The ideal candidate

We welcome recent graduates or confident self-starters, but experience of working in a professional environment is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating engaging content for, and managing, a variety of different social media platforms.

  • A detailed knowledge of social media and content creation
  • Experienced user of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects
  • A highly organised individual, who can multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player who buys into the Bears culture and vision, taking ownership of their role with a proactive ‘can do’ mindset
  • A willingness to be flexible; working out-of-hours and weekends, and to tight deadlines
  • A keen interest in Premiership Rugby and Allianz Premier 15s
  • Full clean driving license and vehicle
