Video: Oliver searching for seventy minute performance

Kim Oliver was disappointed her side were blown away in the final twenty minutes of their encounter with table-toppers Harlequins at The Stoop.

A Jasmine Joyce hat-tick had brought the Bears right back into the game following the half-time interval but the hosts went through the gears in the final twenty minutes to run out 61-17 winners on Saturday afternoon.

“We were in that game for fifty minutes and I’m proud of the effort from the group to up the physicality from last week, which is what we asked.

“For large parts of that game we look very good and we put them under pressure with our defence because the intensity was there.

“There are parts of our game that aren’t clicking, we need to address that and for we need to do it for the whole game as well.

“They capitalised on our errors. They’re a good team and they made the right decisions at the right time, which is something we definitely need to work on.

“It was 26-17 for a while and I thought we were right back in the game but little decision didn’t quite go our way and allowed them to keep the momentum and they punished us.”
