Chris Vui has been appointed Samoa captain ahead of the Pacific Islanders' Northern Hemisphere tour this month.
An outstanding addition to the Bristol Rugby engine room this season, Vui skippers his country for the first time.
The Samoan Rugby Union report that the 'new leadership is being assisted by senior players', which includes Bristol's record try scorer David Lemi.
The lock is joined in the squad by Lemi, centre Alapati Leiua and back rower Jack Lam, while Tusi Pisi has been called into the camp as back-up.
Following a training camp in Surrey Guildford, Samoa will depart for Scotland on Sunday 5 November 2017.
The Pacific islanders are playing Scotland on November 11th, Romania on November 18th, before facing England on November 25th.
