Kim Oliver has urged her sided to rise to the occasion and ‘dig deep’ as the Bears host Gloucester-Harptury at Shaftesbury Park tomorrow afternoon.
The Bears take on their West Country rivals in their final home game of 2019 as they look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat against Worcester
“It’s a huge game, we’ve had a good week that has been really positive and we’re looking to go out there and put in the eighty minute performance we have been searching for, said Oliver.
“Last week we lacked a bit intensity in both attack and defence. We can’t fault the girls for their efforts week in, week out but sometimes you have to dig deeper if things aren’t quite going your way to find a way to win and that’s what we’re going to have to do this weekend.
“Games against Gloucester-Hartpury are always very exciting, we’re looking to bounce back and on reflection last weekend may have been the wake-up call we needed.
“The first ten minutes are key for us to get of the blocks and get in to the game and after that we can start to come alive.
“We always get big crowds down at Shaftesbury Park and the atmosphere and facilities play a big part on gameday, so it’s great to be back at home and we’ll look to finish out home games for 2019 on a high.”
Bristol Bears Women take on Gloucester-Hartpury tomorrow afternoon at Shaftesbury Park (12pm) and supporters can purchase their tickets below.
