'We're relishing Sixways challenge' - Sheedy

Callum Sheedy says Bristol Bears are relishing the challenge of Sunday’s trip to Sixways to take on Worcester Warriors in the Gallagher Premiership.

The fly-half, who kicked 16 points in last weekend’s 40-45 defeat to Northampton Saints, insists Bristol will have to be at their best against an ‘excellent’ Warriors side on an artificial surface.

“We’ve watched their games and they’re excellent,” said Sheedy. “The structures they play, the personnel they have, they’re very dangerous, so if we’ll have to be at 100%.

“They’ve got a lot of individual talent, but collectively, they’re also very strong. Big forwards, and then the likes of Josh Adams, Bryce Heem, Chris Pennell out wide, so there are threats all over the park.

“It’s another game, there is five points on offer, and we’ll be looking to get them. We’ll prepare for the pitch - we already played Saracens on an artificial pitch, so it’s not something that massively bothers or affects us, we’ll just play our normal game.

“The tempo of the game always seems to be a bit faster on those types of surfaces.

“We see every game as five points on offer. Our mentality is to win with five points every game, no matter who it is.

“Every week is a challenge, it’s pretty relentless, but it’s brilliant. I’m not looking too far ahead, I’m just going week by week and day by day and making sure I keep getting better.”
